Dear Patient,
A new era of vision correction has arrived. The development
and refinement of excimer laser technology has enabled
procedures to correct nearsightedness, astigmatism
and farsightedness.
Laser vision correction can reduce or eliminate your dependence
on glasses or contact lenses. The two most well-recognized
types of vision correction surgery include LASIK (for L>aser-ASsisted
In-Situ Keratomileusis) and PRK (for Photo-Refractive
Keratectomy). As the technology has evolved,
the FDA has expanded the scope of eligibility to incorporate
an increasing range of optical conditions.
Every person has a unique prescription and vision condition. There are subtle
differences reflected in the manner in which the varying lasers
address the correction. I have worked extensively with numerous
refractive surgeons, utilizing the different lasers. I have
established an association with the one of the most highly
qualified surgeons in this field.
Following an examination we will determine if you are an appropriate
candidate, and if your needs are best suited to this procedure.
I will provide all of the critical pre- and post-operative
care to help insure positive results. This is all at no additional
charge to you.
If laser vision correction is of interest to you, or if you
have any questions, please call to setup a free consultation.
My expertise is available to you in obtaining the best surgeon
and laser for your specific application.
Sincerely,
Gary Polan, O.D
